A Monolithic Collision of Fuzz and Pressure
Thalamic Gate delivers sludgy doom metal at a geological scale. The sound is a monolithic collision of Fuzz-Wall distortion and sub-harmonic pressure, moving with the inevitable crawl of tectonic plates.
While the instrumental foundation provides an earthquake of physical weight, the lyrics navigate the raw distress of the inner self to force a psychonautic breakthrough.
It is a total sensory override, designed to crush the brain's filters and leave the mind exposed.
The Inner Eye
Tar
Deep, gravelly, dry — recessed in the mix by design.
Origin
Each member of Thalamic Gate operates as an elemental force. Tar is the vocal presence — deep, gravelly, dry, recessed in the mix by design. Basalt provides the geometric structure: monolithic riffs built as rigid pillars, architectural and immovable. Moss smothers where Basalt defines.
Stone plays at 60 BPM and slightly behind the beat — always. The album Inward Odyssey is built on a single philosophical mechanism: looking outward uses the senses; the only escape is turning inward until the cage is forgotten. Each track advances the protagonist deeper into dissolution — through ego death, through the recognition that the versions of himself he's been meeting are splinters of the same source.
Discography
A concept album built on a single philosophical mechanism: looking outward uses the senses — components of the corporeal cage. The only escape is turning inward until the cage is forgotten. Enlightenment starts when perception ends.
